Well, I guess I got lazy this time. We headed up to the Northeast to have Thanksgiving with our 21-year-old and their partner and I didn’t get back to blogging.
Yes, we went hiking along the Atlantic coast this time and, yes, I took photos of some lighthouses. I didn’t set out to make that my theme this year, but it seems like it turned out that way. Mostly, it was good to find enough not-freezing days to be able to enjoy the landscapes.
I’ve been fine-tuning the book and researching the best ways to publish. I have decided I don’t have time to shop the book around, not while I’m still working, so I will self-publish. Now to get the book formatted property, get an ISBN number and all that other stuff!
I also want to shoot a photo for the cover. I have one of the three people lined up to model for the main characters. I’m working on getting the other two and I need to reach out to the local airfield to see if we can come there for the shoot. I want to do it around sunset, in the right weather, so timing will be critical. Wish me luck!
I’ve also been spending time listening to an Advent collection on the Hallow app, along with the Bible in a Year podcast. It really is fascinating to listen to a passage you’ve heard all your life, then hear insights about it that make you see it in a whole new way. I highly recommend spending a little time each day diving a little deeper into God’s Word. It can be transformational.
