Who we are
This website is the official site of author and photographer LeAnna Kosub (“LeAnna”), who operates under her own name as a sole proprietor. LeAnna is responsible for the personal information collected through this site.

Information you give directly
- Newsletter (Reader Circle) sign-up: your email address.
- Book purchases: when you buy or pre-order a book, checkout takes place on Payhip, the store service used by this site. You provide your name and email address, and for paperbacks your shipping address. LeAnna receives these order details so the order can be fulfilled and supported.
- Book club and parish visit requests: your name, email address, group or parish name, group size, preferred date, and anything else you choose to write.
- Photography inquiries: your name, email address, the photo you are asking about, and the details of your request.
- Blog comments: the name, email address and website you enter, and the text of your comment. Your email address is not shown publicly.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on WordPress.com, a service run by Automattic Inc. Like most websites, the hosting service automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, language, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the site that referred you. This is used to keep the site secure and to produce visitor statistics about how the site is used.
Information this site does not collect
Payment card details are never collected or stored on this website, and LeAnna never sees your full card number. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal through the Payhip checkout.
How your information is used
- To send the Reader Circle newsletter and the welcome gift you signed up for.
- To process book orders and pre-orders, deliver eBooks, print and ship paperbacks, and answer questions about an order.
- To reply to book club, parish visit and photography requests.
- To publish and moderate blog comments.
- To protect the site against spam, abuse and security threats.
- To understand, in general terms, how visitors use the site so it can be improved.
Your information is used only for the purpose it was given for. You will not be added to the newsletter list just because you sent a message through a form.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site and its hosting service use them to keep the site working and secure, to remember your details if you leave a comment and ask for them to be saved, to remember newsletter sign-up status, and to count visits for statistics. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features may not remember you.
Who your information is shared with
Personal information is not sold. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run this website, and only so they can provide that service:
- Automattic Inc. (WordPress.com and Jetpack), which hosts the site, stores form submissions and comments, delivers the newsletter emails, and provides visitor statistics.
- Akismet, an Automattic spam-filtering service, which may automatically check comments and form submissions for spam.
- Payhip, which runs the store checkout, keeps order records and handles applicable sales tax and VAT on purchases.
- Stripe and PayPal, which process payments. Your payment details go directly to them.
- BookFunnel, which delivers purchased eBooks. It receives your name and email address so it can send your download link and help with reading-device support.
- Bookvault, which prints paperbacks and ships them to you. It receives your name and shipping address for that purpose.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of LeAnna, visitors or others.
Links to other websites
This site links to outside websites, including the Payhip checkout and other third-party services. Once you leave this site, the other website’s privacy policy applies. LeAnna is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites she does not operate.
How long information is kept
- Newsletter: your email address is kept until you unsubscribe.
- Form messages: kept indefinitely, unless you ask for them to be deleted.
- Order records: kept for as long as needed for order support and for accounting and tax records.
- Comments: kept with the post they belong to until deleted.
- Visitor statistics and server logs: kept by the hosting service according to its own retention practices.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can leave the list at any time.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
- Comments: you can ask for a comment you posted to be removed.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or, for visitors in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Where information is processed
This website is operated from the United States, and the service providers named above may store and process information in the United States and other countries. Children’s privacy
This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. Personal information is not knowingly collected from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please get in touch and it will be deleted.
