The story

Captain Lorenzo “Enzo” Massimo III always thought his future was secure — flying jets for the Air Force until retirement. But one tragic crash takes the life of his close friend and leaves him grounded, burdened by guilt and searching for purpose. Returning to his hometown of Mesa Verde, Texas, Enzo tries to reconnect with his big, lively family — only to discover two new faces in their midst.

Teresa Nelson, a dedicated teacher and single mother, is working hard to rebuild her life after heartbreak. With her spirited son, Matthew, she’s found stability with the Massimos.
